|
| Sally Mitchell Fine Arts is a small family company that was founded by Sally Mitchell, thirty five years ago. It is now run by Sally Mitchell and her son John, who has become a director of the company. Recognised by the British Fine art Trade Guild as one of the countries top fine art publishing houses and regularly shortlisted for their customer service award. Although famous for having the largest range of high quality limited edition dog prints in Europe, if not the world, Sally Mitchell Fine arts publishes a wide range of subject matter to suit all tastes. In 2007 we also installed one of the worlds most sophisticated fine art scanners, thus enabeling us to do all of our reproduction and publishing in-house. All of our Ltd Edition prints and greetings cards are printed in the UK. |
Sally Mitchell |
| Sally, originally a dealer in early sporting paintings wrote the main reference work on sporting art, 'The Dictionary of British Equestrian Artists', published by the Antique Collectors Club of Woodbridge, Suffolk. It was with this deep working knowledge of sporting art that Sally moved on to dealing in contemporary artists and publishing sporting and country prints.
Sally is now semi-retired, spending most of her time riding and schooling her own horses in dressage.
Most recently she has written and edited Malcolm Coward's book; 'Horse Painter' released in 2007 and has just finished John Tricketts book, due for release Oct 2008. |
John Mitchell |
| John was brought up in the business, working on trade stands from an early age. He obtained an honours degree in Fine Art, valuation at Southampton and gained experience in one of London's leading auction rooms, prior to joining the company. He is now largely running the company although he still relies heavily on Sally's input.
He celebrated the birth of his first child, Sophie in 2007. |
