English Country Sporting Paintings

Being the author of the Dictionary of Equestrian Artists, a book that gives a detailed study of English Sporting Artists from the days of Francis Barlow up to the 20thCentury, I feel I am most fortunate to also have been able to discover and nurture some of to-days leading English Sporting Artists. Our artists are all well known in their own spheres and are of a very high standard. A number of them have exhibited Internationally and within our range of published Equestrian we are proud to be able to boast more Presidents medal winners than any other publisher

In this section we will have an ever changing selection of wonderful original paintings by these fabulous artists and also sometimes an up and coming new artist. It is always fun to spot raw talent. It is even more exciting to see it develop. We have customers out there who bought Trickett paintings from us many years ago for as little as £200. One of his paintings recently sold through Christies in London for almost £10,000 including the buyers commission. This is probably the most honest way to value an artists work, by what it makes in public auction. We try to offer paintings at a fair price that represent a good investment as well as something very pleasurable to live with.
