Yell the Memoirs of a happy dog. 1923 pub by G.Bell and Sons. 3rd edition. This quaint little book written by the dog himself of course is the story of a naval dog who travelled over 50,000 miles around the world. He was obviously a great mascot and promoter of worthy causes and there is even a photograph of him with HRH Queen Alexander. The book is hard backed with a photo of yell in a cartouche on the front cover but it is grubby and faded. The pages are not perfect and one or two photographic pages have been stuck in with cellotape. However it is a rare little book and very charming.7.5x5ins. 146 pages.
