The full title of this print is: 'Impressions of The Display for The State Visit of the king of Afghanistan' - The Royal Mews 12/08/1971. By Joan Wanklyn.  Joan was a prominent mid 20th century artist, well know for her equestrian paintings and in particular her military commissions.  She was also a prolific book illustrator.

What is absolutely fascinating is the letter taped to the back of the print from the Queens Equerry Lt. Col. John Miller typed onto Buckingham palace headed paper.

Ok it's not in great condition, but it is still a fascinating piece of our recent history and it still sits in it's original oak frame.
