Early Pheasant stipple engraving print, Antique SOLD
Pheasants, Early stipple engraving of a Pheasant family in the manner of Stepehn Elmer. This is a charming print but it has seen better days. It is age subdued and has a few small spots, some damp stains and one small suface damage to the right of the cock pheasant. It is however very decorative and charming and rather gives the impression of an early tapestry. It is framed in a 1960\\\\\\\'s Hogarth frame with a dusky rose mount which would match that of the Pointe Sancho. This is a better quality print but it does not appear to have a border. Circa 1800. Image area 26 x 37 cms. Framed size 42.5 x51 cms. Overseas postage at cost. SOLD
