History of the Royal Buckhounds by J.R.Hore 1893 edition pub. Remington & Co., London Hard cover, cloth bound no dj. The The cloth is torn on the bottom right hand corner of the spine but the binding is firm.The leetering is in gilt and there is a study of a huntsman in black. The whole is a little dulled with age and dirt.The end papers are floral and there is the library book plate for V.R.Orchard stuck to the end paper. There is a fold out b/w print of the Royal Buckhounds in 1783.One coloured plate. There is slight foxing to the first and last pages and very slight occasional foxing on one or two pages within the text. Page edges browned. Fascinating history from the time of Edward 111 to that of Victoria. There is a chronological list of Masters and Hunt servants. Rare book to find in its original form. 400 pages 8 1/2ins x 5 1/2 ins. appr.
