Product Description

Sketching Horses From Life by Malcolm Coward. Malcolm Coward is well known as one of the leading English horse painters of his time. However this is not a fair description. Firstly he is an artist who is capable of painting landscapes, seascapes and figures, and any animal that crosses his path. He just happens to be very fond of horses and so they feature strongly in his work. Up to press he has won the Presidents medal three times at the Society Of Equestrian Artists. He has been a guest exhibitor in the American and European Horse painters exhibitions and has also exhibited in Dubai, Tokyo, Stockholm, Verona, Munich, Saumur, Paris, New York and London. He is generous with his teaching and two of his students have also become Presidents Medal winners. He refuses to be bound by commercial pressures and prefers to lead a low key life painting what he wants to paint. However his humour often seep s into his work and he is particularly remembered for some of his most famous prints, Delusions of Grandeur, Bridge Over Troubled Water and recently Bringing Back The Empties. Puslished in Autumn 2012. Compiled and edited by Sally Mitchell. A must for artists and enthusiasts alike. Hard backed with dustcover. 120 pages. 265 x 205mm. Profusely illustrated in colour.
