This lovely, early racing scene is taken from a painting by John Beer circa 1860 - 1930.  There isn't much information about John but he appears to have done most of his work between 1895 and 1915 with some sources suggesting he died in 1915.  he is best known for his horse subjects and in particular for his racing scenes.
