This was a very popular print in it's day, showing Avro Lancaster B1's in dispersal prior to the night mission.  The re-mark sketch on the border is a facsimile but none the less a nice touch.  What's special about this copy is that is is countersigned by Lancaster pilot Bob Knights DSO of 617 squadron, who notably flew three missions attacking the much vaunted German Heavy Cruiser Tirpiz.  The frame isn't bad, but it is an early mount and has sadly discoloured on the cut edge.  Otherwise not bad.  The print itself has not been hung for many years and the colour is excellent.
